I think it was wrong of Katie to run back to her house because she could have gotten killed. And she almost got killed.Heres a quote from the story... "Katie felt a Patriot reach into the trunk and touch her."
I think it was right of her to go back in her house because why should they be able to steel thing in her house.Rebel's are the one who dont pay taxes the loyolist should be attack rebels. The reason he left the trunk open was because he was there neighbor and he would steel from them but he wouldn't want to hurt any of that family.
I think it was rong for katie to run to the house becuas she could of got killed by the rebels. If their old neighbor wasent so nice she would of been dead!here is a quote from the story "If they can steel they can shurly hurt people.".
I think she was right to go back to the house because if she did'nt, the rebels would have taken everything valuble to them. heres an example from pg. 301,"The rustlings drowned their words, another dress went, and a hand touched me. I Wanted to bite it, to make him jump and shout, but I stilled myself. Maybe he did'nt know. Suddenly he shouted,"Out! The Tories are coming. Back to the road! Hurry!" He did not close the lid, and footsteps sounded out the door."
i think it was a good idea beacause you cant just let somone come in your house & steal your stuff it's not fair . here is a example "If they can steel they can shurly hurt people.".
Well i think it was a not a good idea, but a brave idea. Smart? well think about it. She wasnt just going to sit back and be a coward like the rest of her family. She was going to go to her house. She did go into the chest in panic witch wasnt a good idea due to no air flow. Why didnt she just slide part of a dress into the crease of the chest opening. There is no way the patriots would have realized a litte crack in a chest in the corner of a room. Now I think it was a brave idea but a not so smart idea... But she is a also Really lucky person because if any other of the patriots had touched her she might have gotten caught and killed. here is an example from the story that supports my ansewer of katie being a Brave and Lucky indiviual (this should be fun i have to find a example for 2 things joy...) Well i think i am going to use 2 examples from the story,ok. A example of how she was lucky. " The air closed around my mouth like a black cloth. I bit my hand and prayed though i was never much good at that i thought my words would go up to god like bubbles to a ponds silver top were they would burst. "please god dont let them find me, Dont let them hurt us, let me breath" The footsteps came closer someone leaned against the trunk My breath got caught somewere bettween my stomache and my chest and i could not get it back. There wasnt enough air. John warren said" Fine dresses and silver here" He pulled up the lid and sweet air rushed in." See how lucky is she that right when she was about to die a patriot pulls up the trunk. And here is an example of how she is a real brave girl."I raced for the house Mama's feirce wisper trying to call me back. I would not let John warren and Reuben Otis hurt our house and things. it was not right, it was not just, It was not fair." See that even though she is a tory and these men have guns and swords and everything she still wants to go back to save her house and not be a coward like the rest of her family. So In conclusion This girl katie is a great indivisual.
I think that it was wrong for katie to go back becase she wodent now that if they were going to shoot the trunk or take it or throuht it in to a lake and it could of kill her. Here's a quote. There was mama's wedding trunk, big black and domed.
I think Katie was right to run back to her house because she wanted to save all of her family's goods and their items in value. Katie shouldn't have stayed in the forest because maybe the rebels came through that way and will come back that way and find them. And here's a quote from the story. Papa looked out the window."It's not bad, dear ones, just a skirmish. No one's hurt that I can see."
I don't think it was right because she would of risked her life if John Warren wasn't there at that right time.her is a quote from the story.John Warren felt one of the Gray's family members in the trunk so he told all the rest of the rebels to leave as did John Warren.he still had the nice in him to leave the lid open so one of the Gray's family could breath.
I think it was wrong for katie to go back to the house because she could of got caught easily and she could of even been murdered so I think she should of gone with her parents into the woods and also I think it was a bad idea to hide in the trunk cause she could of sufficated and died in there
I think it was wrong for Katie to run back to her house because she could have been killed by the rebels. Here is a quote to support my answer " The rustlings drowned their words another dress went, and a hand touched me."
i think she is brave to risk her life for her house it is risk vs.rewared andi also thik it is not a good idea because she could get hurt and they could kill her and it is good that john waren had a seam of goodness keeping him together 'qout'a horse thuddingpast riderless someones hat blowing byin gusty wind.
I think that Katie was smart. She was like a hero to her family. She saved ever thing that belonged to her family. Her is aofa qoute frrom the story. "wHEN I BEEN BAD ALL DAY, Hidding Hatties doll under the sofaand never telling her where it went.
I think it was right for Katie to go back to her house because that if you where Katie would you want to go back and see all of the things in the past that you loved and when she went back she went back did she get killed no so that’s what I think it was a great idea for her to go back in my opinion.
I think it was wrong for Katie to run back because she could of gotten hurt or even killed. Here’s a quote from the story, “come back here Katie” said Walter.
I think that Katie did the right thing by running back to the house because John Warren saw her. If she didn’t go back to the house, they would have kept looking for things and breaking things through out the house. An example from page 297 is, “Iraced for the house, Mama’s fierce whisper trying to call me back.”
I think it was wrong of Katie to run back to her house because she could've gotten killed and there was no point in coming back to the house. here is a quote from page 301, "The rustlings drowned their words, another dress went, and a hand touched me."
I think it was wrong of Katie to run back to her house because she was running Away from safety her mom, dad, brother, and Hadie were probley all worried About her. Here’s a quote from the story that helps support my answer. “I was so mad I couldn’t still myself.” I raced for the house.
I think she was right to go back to the house because it was probably in her family for a long time and that trunk ment a lot to her. When she ever played tag she probably hide there even thoe they knew were she was. Heres a "quote" from page 299-300 about"katie going back to the house and jumps in to the trunk to hide her so the rebels wouldn't find her, and the rebels come in to look for the valuebles, and the first spoy they look in is the trunk and the guy who looked in the trunk was John Warren and when he put his hand in there to look for valuebles he feels katie hand calls off all the rebels" and that ment John Warren was a good person and didn't kill the torie katie.,
i think she is brave because she is risking her life and her house it is risk vs.reward and i also think it is a bad idea because she could get hurt and they could kill her i also think it is good that john warren had a seam of goodness keeping him together 'qoute'we ran to the house, mama's face like a white like a handercheif.
I think Katie was wrong to go back to her house because they could have killed Katie and the almost when she went in the trunck.Heres aquote from the story “please god, don’t let them find me, don’t let them hurt us, let me breathe.”
I think it was wrong for Katie to run back to her house. It was wrong because, a diffrent rebel could have opened the trunk, felt Katie and kiled or hurt her. Here is a quote from the story," If they could steal, they could hurt as well"
I think that it was right for Katie to run back to the house because she wanted to see the things that she loved and cherished. Here is a quote from Katie's Trunk from page 298, "Inside our parlor, I touched each thing that I loved: Mama's pineapple teapot, the silver tray, shining like a moon, the pictures of all our kin ranged across the wall - home."
I think Katie was wrong to run back to her house and hide in the trunk. She could have got killed by the rebels. Here is a quote from the story Katie felt a hand reach in the trunk and touch her. Katie ran back to the house because she let her emotions take over and she was furious with the rebels.
I think it was smart because she wanted to defened what she has instead of letting the rebels take it. Also because she wanted to say her last goodbyes to her items so if they stole them, she would at least have a memory of the items.I would do the same thing so I could say goodbye to my stuff and to see/hear what thet took. Here's an example from page 298, " Inside our parlor, I touched each thing I loved: Mama's pineapple teapot, the silver tray, shining like a moon, the pictures of all our kin ranged across the wall- home." She did that to favor all the things she loved.
I think that Katie did the right thing by running back because she wanted to keep all the stuff that they loved safe by touching everything she loved and didn’t want the rebels to take. Here is a quote from the story to support my answer, “This will be fine picking,” yelled one of the rebels
I think it was right for Katie to run back to her house because if she didn't run back the Patriots would have stolen a lot of items. A quote from the story that supports my answer is "The rustlings drowned their words, another dress went, and a hand touched me." Another quote from the story that supports my answer is,"Out! The Tores are coming."
I think Katie was right to run back to the house because well I agree with her she shouldn’t let John Warren and the other rebels destroy her house and her passions that she loved, even though they could hurt her. John Warren was their neighbor at a time and would never hurt anyone in that family. Here’s a quote from Katie’s Trunk: “ He’d left one seem of goodness there, and we were all tired of it: Papa, Mama, Walter, Hattie, and me.”

I think katie was right becuase she saved her house. She also saved her property from getting stolen."Saved the house".

I think katie should'ent have gone back because she could have gotten captured and hurt badly ex.if they could hurt
