Compare Manuel's experience with the flashlight and his experience with the record. Which one do you think was worse? Why? Be sure to include a "quote" from the story to support your response.
Bonus: What talent do you have that would be fun to watch in a talent show?

i think michelle kwan and warren faidley are alike because they both work hard to get what thay want. they are different because michelle has more fun.
''my skating philosohy is work hard, be youeself, and have fun.''
I think the singing experience was worse because that really mattered to him. The battery experience was better because nobody really saw that then his friends not the whole school. Here's a quote from the story. "What am I doing here" thought Manuel? This is no fun at all.
The flashlight and the disk are both really embarrassing because each time his friends laughed I think that the flashlight was more embarrassing because Manuel was more little and when your littler your more susceative. Here's a quote from La Bamba:"He pressed the wire to the battery, but the buld didn't respond."
I think the battery experience was worse because it turned into something nobody liked and people snickered at it. The singing situation was way better because it turned out that everyone loved it. Here is an example from the story from page 168, "He showed it to so many kids in his neighborhood that when it was time to show his class how a flashlight worked, the battery was dead."
I think that Manuel's experience's are both embarrassing. In my opinion the battery project is more embarrissing because you can't do anything about a broken battery so he couldn't do anything. The reason the talent show isn't embarrissing is because he could pretended like it was supposed to happen. Here is a quote on page 168,"He pressed until his thumb hurt and some kids in the back started snickering.0"

I think the flashlight experience was worse then the record experience. I think the experience with the flashlight was worse beacause the kids in Manuel's class laughed and snickered when the light didn't light up. But the people at the talent show liked Manuel's act and would say, "well done it was hilarious!" Here is a quote from page 168 when,"He showed it to so many kids in his neighborhood that when it was time to show his class how a flashlight worked, the battery was dead. He pressed the wire to the battery, but the bulb didn't resond." Bonus- It would be fun to dance to a cool song that everybody likes!!!!!!!
I think the flash light is worst because when his record was stuck he acted like he planed it and the crowd loved it.With the flash light he was in first grade and he got all ecited because he found out how a flash light works but when he showed the class it did not go on.
I thought the tooth brush and the tooth paste was embarising but I also think that singing in front of a live croud would be embarrising alsol.
well he got the limelight but he got stage fright. It got stuck and stade on the same line over and over. Heres a exampal from page-168 ''the only time he could practice was in the shower''
I think they are both embarrassing because both things did not work. The worst one is when he does the flashlight demonstration. It is the worst one because people started laughing at him. I felt tears going down my cheeks. I am good at basketball.
I like la bamba because it is a realistc story.ex good evening everyone the kids behind the curtain heard him say.

I think the record is a much worse situation then the flash light because he was in front of the whole school, but with the flash light he was only in front of his class. Here is a quote from the story, “Manuel couldn’t believe his bad luck. The audience began to laugh and stand up in there chairs. Manuel remembered how the forty five record fill from his hand and rolled across the cafeteria floor.”
I think the talent show is worse the flashlight because the whole school is watching him and he might have stage fright. Hears a quote from page 173 “ I have never felt so embarrassed in my life I would have to ask my family to move out of town.
I think that the record player was more embarrising than the light bulb. It was more embarsing because he had to repeat the same word over and over again. "But the record got stuck, and he had to sing
para bailar la bamba
para bailar la bamba
para bailar la bamba
para bailar la bamba."
I think that the record was the worst one because when he was pantomining the forty-five record
it had alittle scrach on it so it keeped on playing the same verse over and over again. When Manuel was
rehersing the record player jameed
and he took it out and as he was twirling it the forty-five record twird uot of his hands and rolled right throw the hallway.
Manuel’s experents are both bad and but I think his experent with the flashlight is worse because it was real humiliation. Here’s a quote from the story, “When Manuel showed the class the flashlight the battery was dead, some kids in the back of the class snickered.

I think the flashlight was more embarrassing because his class laughed and snickered when it didn’t work. Here’s a quote on page 168. “Why did I show everyone my battery and waste it out?” he asked himself
Dropping the record was the worse thing that happen becouse the record stop on the same line over and over agian and emberse him self.
para bailar la bamba
para bailar la bamba
para bailar la bamba
para bailar la bamba
dropping the record was not a good thing but at the talent show he was brave and kept going.'quote'he was stuck on the same line.
para bailar la bamba.
para bailar la bamba.
para bailar la bamba.
I think that dropping the record and being embarrassed and maybe humiliated in front of the whole school is way more humiliating than the flashlight incident. With the homemade flashlight he was only embarrassed in front of his class. I would love to see a play that will make me laugh.
I think that the flashlight experience was worse because there was nothing he could do about it. At the talent show, he just had to act as if he planned for the record to play the same line over and over. An example from page " He pressed the wire to the battery, but the bulob didn't respond. He pressed until his thumb hurt and some kids in the back started snickering."
I thik that he is better with the record because with flashlight the battery ran out because Manuel decided to show everyone in the neighborhood so when he showed it to the class, the battery was out. With the record, he dropped it and it got scratched, but it was really funny to everyone when he repeated'"para bilar la bamb" over and over. Here's a quote from page 168,"He showed it to so many kids in his neighborhood that when it was time to show it to the class, the battery didn't respond."
I compare manuel's experience with the flash light and the record the same because they are both in front of about 40 people.I Think it was worse for the record because there was about 80 more people than just 40 kids. "bara liara la bamba, bara liara la bamba ,bara liara la bamba, bara liara la bamba."
Sorry It is supposed to say-An example from page 168 is, "He pressed the wire to the battery, but the bulb didn't respond." I'm not going to write the whole thing because there's not enough time.
In my opinion I think A broken record is worse than a battery going dead for your class. Because for a the record you were in front of the whole school. Here is a quote from the story "Some of the girls in the back of the class started to snigger.
i think his record experience was worse beacause the record got stuck on the the same line so he just kept singing the same line here's an example from the story whene he just kept singing the same line.
I think the flashlight was worst cause he showed the flashlight so much and when the time came to show everyone it didn't work and everyone started to snicker at him. He showed so many people in the neighborhood when it was time to show everyone how it worked, the batter was dead.
I think la bamba was worse because the hole school saw his mistake but,the flashlight one only his class saw it."The audience began to lagh and stand up on thier chairs."
I think manuels experience with the flashlight was worse because the singing expirience wasn't bad at all. infact the singing expirience gave him popularity!
The flashlight expirience was horrifying for him probably because since he showed it to people he knew when the time had come to show it to the other students in school the light didnt work and the other kids thought he was crazy. Here is a quote from the story to support my responce. "manuel fell asleep confident nothing would go wrong this time". then the record player broke how horrified would that make you feel if that happend to you!
bonus- i would do a review of popular video games right now and tell people what games to get and what not to get.
I think that the flashlight and the forty-five record are both very embarrassing because the people in the back were snickering and the people in the back of the cafeteria were laughing and were all making Manuel feel bad. Here’s a quote from the story “Way to go. You were funny.”
The similarities of the flashlight and the record is that they were working intell something bad happened to them, I think the record was worst because he had to keep on reapeating the same thing over and over again. Here’s a qoute from the story “ Manuel remembered how the forty-five –record had dropped from his hand and rolled across the cafatiera floor
I think Manuel’s experience at the talent show was worse than his experience with the flashlight. I think this because the whole school and the students’ parents saw him, and it must have been bad if he was on the verge of tears and he didn’t want to be in the talent show again. Here is a quote from page 175 to support my answer, “Next year, when they asked for volunteers for the talent show, he wouldn’t raise his hand. Probably.”
I don’t have the kind of talents that you perform on stage.
i think the singing experience and the flashlight are both really embarrassing but the singing experience was worse because he was in front of tons of kids and grown ups. here is a quote from the story
" at least the kids in my class just snickered and not laughed."
