Room 19 Survival Guide
Next fall will bring a whole new group of 5th graders to room 19. On the first day of school, they will feel like you did, nervous and excited with anticipation. Take a moment to give them some advice about surviving in room 19. What would you suggest they do, or don't do, to have a positive year with Mr. Del Real as their teacher?

I would suggest to...
1)NEVER forget your Homework, Shark folder or,Orange folder.
2)If your sitting next to one of your best friends, try to not talk.
3)Also, try not to forget to take home your jackets becuase then you'll be cleaning up the classroom for 5 to 10 minutes of your recess.
4)Keep your desk clean becuase sooner or later he will ask you to skip your recess to clean it.
5)Learn all the different kind of claps he made up (most of them are fun and cool).
6)Always try to solve your own computer problems first then if you can't go to your Tec Leaders.
P.S. I loved and had a lot of fun in this classroom.
In 2 it's try not to talk to them.Also, after can't in 6 theres suppost to be a comma
The tips I would tell the new students are:
1: Don't get frustrated with your computer because every single one is slow and annoying.
2: Don't leave your jacket or water bottle at school because you will have to clean up at recess.
3: You shouldn't care who you sit next to because you will get in trouble if talk with your friends.
4: Enjoy the blog because other teachers don't let you do blogs and it's really funny when kids make them funny.
5: Last, but not least, have fun because this is your second
to last year at Newport Heights, so enjoy it!
In number 4, it is supposed to be it's really fun when kids moe them funny.
If I had to give some tips to next years fifth graders, I would tell them to:
1.) NEVER sit next to someone that you will talk to alot because Mr. Del Real will catch you, and you WILL get in trouble.
2.) Always do your work because if you don't, you'll just have more homework.
3.) You definately need to learn to walk in a STRAIGHT, QUIET line, if you don't you'll learn how to walk in a straight, quiet line at RECESS and LUNCH.
4.) Try to get good grades and and try not to get yourself in trouble.
Here are a couple tips to the new fifth grade class:
1) Always get your homework done.
2) If you have a cold, always sneeze or cough into your elbow because it drives Mr. Del Real crazy when you sneeze or cough into your hand.
3) If you sit next to one of your friends, don't talk to them alot because you can end up pullling a card.
4) Try to get assinments like a state report done before it's due date because if you are getting it done at the last possible second your computer may shut down.
5) After winter break, come prepared to work because we get alot of assinments after break.
I loved being in this class and you are really lucky to have Mr. Del Real as your fifth grade teacher. If you are a good student and always get your homework done you are probaly going to have a good year, but if you never get your homework done, well, good luck to you.
Dear future student of room 19,
Some tips to surviving room 19 are,
1) Always do your homework and turn in all purmission slips and homework on time.
2) Make sure that your desk has nothing on it or on your chair at the end of the day, otherwise you will be cleaning the classroom for 2 min. at recess.
3) Always say loudly how much you like Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (It is his favorite).
4) If you sit next to your friend try not to talk to much, espacially not while he's talking.
5) When he uses the toad, don't talk and turn towards him and cross your arms.
6) Lastly, work your hardest on all projects and you will probably get a good grade, he nows hard work when he sees it.
Dear 2009-2010 students of room 19,
Some tips to surviving the 5th grade are:
1.)Never talk during class.
2.)If you do get caought talking don't keep talking.
3.)Always be prepared for anything (and I mean anything).
4.)Remember to do all homework and finish all projects on time.
5.)Never ever lie because Mr. Del Real can tell if you are lying.
P.S I have never pulled a card all year and I followed all these rules. Don't get me wrong, I loved this class it was the best ever.
Dear Students of room 19,
To survive room 19 I would say don`t forget your homework! Also, keep in mine that if you sit next to your friend you will talk in class. If you leave something behind on your chair you will get the DREDDED POST IT NOTE. You will have to stay in and clean up. So remeber these tips! I think this classroom is awsomw and so is Mr. DelReal.
Hello students of room 19. Here are a few suggestions for being a good student...
1)Always do your homework.
2)Never talk to your friends all the way across the room.
3)If you sit next to one of your friends try as much as you can to not talk to them.
4)Try not to get frustrated with your computer bhecause some our fast and most are very slow.
5)You definately need to walk in a STRAIGHT and QUIET line going out to lunch (Whichever line is quietest and straitest gets to go to lunch first).
6)Have fun doing the fun things in this class that other 5th grade classes do not do like the blog and the laptop computers.

In room 19, make sure you are very organized. That would be my number one tip because you will always be losing papers or assinments. Another tip I would give to you is to never put anything to the side till the last minutes because I ended up having to do it all over the weekend. Also, don't talk in class because you will get a warning and then if you still talk you will have to pull a card and won't be allowed in Friday Special. The next tip I would give you is to always bring your homework and never leave anything on your desk or seat otherwise you will have to stay in at recess and clean the room. Finally, never talk in line otherwise your line will go second to lunch and never talk during A.M. otherwise you will have to go to A.M. Lunch.
What I would tell the 2009-2010 fifth graders are that. You should always bring in your laptops to school or else if you call someone to bring your laptop to school more than ones then Mr. Deal Real will get you in trouble and pull your card and sit at recsses. Also, in Mr. Deal Real's class is that you should get your inside of your desk clean beacuse you have to get it cleaned druing your recsses time and it is not cool to stay and clean your desk out and miss the fun outside. And never forget your homework or soming else you needed to turn in then you will get your card pulled for that. And in the middle of A.M please do not talk because he will get you in A.M lunch but he is really nice he is not all mean he is a nice teacher.
